Heart of Union Square

We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary with some exciting changes. Our iconic seafood restaurant underwent major renovations and reopened this fall with an exciting new look highlighting the architectural features of this historical bank building in the heart of Union Square.

Executive Chef - Chris Meenan

Chris Meenan has 25 years’ experience working with some of the country’s best chefs. With a passion for locally sourced ingredients and classic French technique, Chris is always up for a challenge. He brings his refined yet approachable, creative yet comforting take on American cuisine to Blue Water Grill.

Tucked away in a corner of Blue Water Grill lies Metropolis oyster room and cocktail bar. Join us for live jazz music, oysters, creative classic dishes and a ‘see and be seen’ atmosphere that makes for a Union Square gem. Formerly the Metropolis Bank, this historic, repurposed building draws in a vibrant crowd with its extensive cocktail menu, innovative dishes and live music.
